| There have been some contractual changes within the Lancashire and South Cumbria Tier 1 contract which have previously been communicated by email and also explained at the online event held on the 16th of December 2025. Please see link to recording of the event here Summary of Contractual Changes Previously practices could provider either GRR or GERS only. Practices can now perform either a GRR or GERS episode on patients, as appropriate to their clinical presentation. The maximum delay between a sight test or receipt of referral and a GERS appointment has been extended from two weeks to four weeks not including Bank Holidays. The Low Vision contract was for adult patients only (aged 18 and above). There are now no age restrictions for this service meaning that children can also be assessed. Tariff Uplift The tariff for each of the services has been increased. Please note that the domiciliary Low Vision fee is higher than previously circulated. These fees will be back dated to the 1st April and this is being worked on at present. Please see below table for the new fees. |
