| Dear Practice, There have been some contractual changes within the Lancashire and South Cumbria Tier 1 contract. Therefore, a service relaunch event will take place online from 7pm on Tuesday 16th December. The event will be recorded and will go through the changes recently implemented (summarised below) as well as learnings from the first year of the contract. If you would like to attend this event, please register HERE Summary of contractual changes: – Previously practices were either GRR or GERS. Practices can now perform either GRR or GERS on patients as appropriate to their clinical presentation. – The maximum delay between a sight test or receipt of referral and a GERS appointment has been extended from 2 weeks to 4 weeks not including bank holidays. – The Low Vision contract was for adult patients only (aged 18 and above). There are now no age restrictions for this service meaning that children can also be assessed. – Tariff uplift: the tariff for each of the services has been increased. Please note that the domiciliary low vision fee is higher than previously circulated. These fees will be back dated to the 1st of April. Please see the table below: |
