Dear Optical Colleague,
Lancashire & South Cumbria ICB has a Health and Wellbeing Programme for Primary Care which includes resources for all colleagues working in GOS-contracted optical practices; optometrists, dispensing opticians, optical assistants, and practice managers.
- Please see details of helplines for people experiencing difficulties with mental health.
- Health and Wellbeing training events can be accessed for free via the Primary Care Training Hub’s website calendar.
- The Primary Care Training Hub has further information on their Health and Wellbeing webpage.
We have recently appointed Optometry Health and Wellbeing Locality Champion, Usman Rasul who can support members of your practice in accessing a range of useful resources. Please contact Usman for further information: firstname.lastname@example.org
The Health and Wellbeing Programme for Primary Care have also launched a Health and Wellbeing Survey for staff in Primary Care. The anonymous survey results will be used to gain insight into staff wellbeing across L&SC. It will enable monitoring and support our communications. The results will be held by the Primary Care Training Hub and shared with practice managers, NHS England, and the ICB. The closing date is 6th October 2023. Please encourage members of your team to complete the survey:
