Primary Care Support England
Dear Colleague,
We’re writing to inform you of an upcoming change to how user roles are managed within PCSE Online, which will affect primary care organisations. What’s changing From 11 December 2025, Primary Care Support England (PCSE) will only assign User Administrator roles. All other user role management, such as creating, updating, or removing access, will become the responsibility of each organisation. This change is being introduced to: – strengthen security and reduce the risk of unauthorised access – improve compliance with audit standards – streamline internal processes and reduce dependency on PCSE for role allocation Why we’re engaging you You work with primary care organisations which rely on PCSE Online to carry out essential tasks. We’ll ensure that the organisations you support are aware of the change and its rationale. If approached, you’ll be able to help colleagues in primary care understand what actions they may need to take. What’s next We will be sending tailored communications to organisations based on whether they currently have a User Administrator in place. These messages will explain: – how to assign or request a User Administrator role – what responsibilities User Administrators will hold – where to find guidance and support materials If you have any questions, please contact us at pcse.communications@nhs.net. Thank you for your support.
Best wishes, The PCSE Team
