URGENT ACTION REQUIRED: Patient Safety Updates – Red Tabs on Clinical Dashboard |
July 2025 |
Dear Practice, Red tabs on your clinical dashboard indicate referrals requiring action. It is essential that you review any red tab referrals present on your dashboard regularly and manage any red tab referrals as soon as possible. Please review any red tab referrals on your clinical dashboard and take the necessary action to complete the episode of care. Patients managed outside of the OPERA platform: Occasionally you will need to send referrals outside of Opera as per locally agreed protocols. If a patient has been managed outside of the OPERA platform, the referral showing as red tab will still need to be completed via the chair icon located on the right side of the referral information. Please see the below image for guidance. ![]() |
Medisoft/Open Eyes: Medisoft/Openeyes integration enables data to be returned to the hospital for completion of NOD. Please ensure that any Medisoft/OpenEyes referrals processed to red tab stage of referral are processed and actioned immediately. Please select the red tab and complete the episode. Support and Guidance: If you require any further support or guidance on your outstanding red tabs, please contact the Primary Eyecare Services Failsafe Team via pes.quality.pes@nhs.net Kind Regards, Primary Eyecare Services |
