An optometrist who works in the Preston area has asked us to inform everyone who works within the catchment area of the Royal Preston Hospital that the ophthalmology department has switched off its mobile phone triage number (07525523510) and now the only line to ring is 01772523510
Neither LOC nor any of the optical practices directly concerned has been informed of this change by the hospital and we shall be making strong representations to RPH asking them to rectify this and to include us in the loop in future as patient care could be compromised .
