The following is the information from Helen Parry who is the ICB Suicide Prevention Lead
Suicide is a significant worldwide public health concern and 75% of suicides in the UK are male – it is the single biggest killer of men under 49 years of age.
The new male suicide prevention campaign, which has been co-produced with people who work in or have experience of male suicide events, asks men to download the Staying Alive App and to go to the ICB’s male suicide prevention webpage, which has been updated with all the new campaign’s assets and messages.
We encourage all partners to support this campaign and make the assets available to your contacts and networks. To assist you, please find the link to the social media toolkit, Download the printable poster (link)
which contains all the campaign materials, imagery and social media assets.
Please find embedded the link to the ICB’s male suicide prevention campaign webpage. LSC Integrated Care Board :: Male suicide where more information, resources can be found.
The wider Mental health website includes more information and support to the suicide prevention programme. LSC Integrated Care Board :: Mental health support
Also, I would also encourage you to look at taking up the Suicide prevention training offer to support the community you live and work. More information can be found here LSC Integrated Care Board :: Orange Button Community Scheme
Your help in promoting and supporting this campaign is gratefully appreciated.
