An exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused, qualified optometrist to take on the role of a Manager on a full time, fixed-term basis at the UCLan Eye Health Clinic.
The role is a great opportunity for an experienced Optometrist to progress into management and work within an academic setting. You will have daily management of the clinic, managing a small team (clinical supervisors, dispensing optician and receptionist) as well as facilitating students in their clinical training for their Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing courses. Clinical administration, maintenance of the patient management system and completion of required GOS returns will also be part of the role whilst ensuring the smooth running of the clinic. You will be required to provide clinical services when the students are not in the clinic as well as develop a commercial side to the Clinic.
The successful candidate will have a good honours degree in Optometry and be registered with the General Optical Council as an Optometrist.
