The LOC is working with Lancashire Constabulary to update the list of practices who wish to carry out and have the required equipment to undertake the visual assessments for new applicants.
These include:
- distance & near acuities
- visual fields
- colour vision assessment
- 10% contrast test (Pelli-Robson, Thompson or similar chart needed
Practices need to be aware that we will be passing their details to Lancashire Constabulary SOLELY for the purposes of holding a list which can be given to applicants to help them find a practice able to carry out these tests and provide a report.
It is up to individual practices how they manage this as it is NOT A CONTRACTED SERVICE, just signposting on behalf of the applicants. Please note that it is the practices responsibility to keep Lancashire Constabulary updated with any change of information.
